Office of the Future, Killa Design, 2016

The Office of the Future, which is currently home to the Dubai Future Foundation, is the world’s first fully functional and permanently occupied 3-D printed building. Maximizing visibility and natural light while also providing shade from the sun, this Killa Design project was created to improve energy efficiency through thick, insulated cladding. The 3-D printing technique used to construct the pavilion reduced both labor costs and the project’s overall environmental footprint.
